alligoat
The only place I found was ndtradingcorp on the bay http://cgi.ebay.com/Rolex-Dial-16660-COMEX-4000ft-1220m-SEA-DWELLER_W0QQitemZ170331101067QQcmdZViewItemQQptZWristwatches?hash=item27a886578b It's the matte dial, I believe, for a 16660- predecessor to the 16600. Don't know why the Comex dial for the 16600 has never taken off.
Guest techlogik
I really like the modern look it kind of has, but that semi-vintage Comex feel also...
PeteM
They are a rare piece though arent they? Not as much as 16660 I think. Funny I remember reading how a lot of owners swapped the dials for standard dials because they didnt want to advertise the Comex brand, Strange
jchurch
Aren't they supposed to not have the silver rings around each dot? I kind of like it though.
PeteM
Aren't they supposed to not have the silver rings around each dot? I kind of like it though. I understood there were two editions apart from the subeditions of each The originals were just tritium applied first in matt then in small logo. But the later edition in the 90's I think had the chrome surrounds. I am sure Tech would know the fuller details and correct me
lanikai
They come form the era, Rolex made the dial advertising the Comex dive company.. cool History behind the dial, an Comex. NDT..
alligoat
Early dials for the Comex SD were matte- like the 1665 and 16660 (early 80's)dials. Dials from the late 80's and early 90's had the white gold surrounds around the hour markers. You can check out http://www.doubleredseadweller.com/ for the story of the Comex watches and more vintage Rolex minutiae.
