Here's a brief history from Dowling and Hess: http://www.newturfers.com/bin/mwf/topic_show.pl?tid=37834 OCC dials were used until around '63 or so when they were replaced w/ SCOC dials. Also, Swiss dials (using radium)went out about the same time as Rolex started using tritium, hence the Swiss-T<25 came into existence. So this is an early 1016 dial, which explains the high price, I guess. It would be worth it if you had a gen where you needed to replace the dial, but not for a franken, IMO.
