just received this beautiful IWC Portugieser Chrono Laureus Special Edition from River - in a blazing 3 days, despite labor day weekend A detailed review will follow in the review section but for now I just wanted to share the pictures.

This is the year of IWC. Wear them well. I got mine from River today as well.

The Blue is spectacular. Don't know how close it comes to the Gen, but it's beautiful in its own right.

I like them both, the Laureus however in my opinion is more exciting than the Panda; as for the wrist shots: will sure do, give me day or so

I like them both either, that's the matter (and i like also the new black version with white subdials... but blue hands disappointed me)

Panda seems to be a bit more classy and traditional.

Take all your time, i'm not in a hurry.

The Laureus is an eye catcher. A couple of people have noticed. The dial as you can tell from these excellent pictures looks very different depending on the lighting. It is a beautiful dial. I have never seen a gen in person so I am wondering if the dial coloring is true to the gen as well.
