sneed12
I just got my 5513 "project" back together--I bought it from another member, it had a problem in the keyless works. Eventually I'm going to use it for a milsub build, but for now it's stock. This is the first Sub I've had with the hollow-links bracelet. It's amazing how cheap and rattly it feels! How did Rolex get away with selling bracelets like this for 50 years? My Seiko bracelets feel like tanks next to this.
alligoat
Bracelets have gotten better over the last 50 years. Some of the old ones from the 50's and 60's were pretty flimsy, but the newer ones like the 93150 are better. A 5513 started out on a 7206, then a 9315 and finally the 93150 in the late 70's and 80's. The 5513 was in production until around '87-'88. ShawnBeever
I love the lightweight flexibility of the old style folded bands they seem poor to start with but once they get a bit of wear and the edges knocked off they are great. I keep trying heaver modern bands on my 5512 but always go back to the folded type. You might need the weight on a Deep Sea in order to balance the weight of the watch but it’s just not needed on a light weight plexi sub.
