wimpie007
Hi experts ;-) I bought an PAM029 that will not let you set the time, you can wind it and if you remove the CG and loosen the crown it is possible to set the date, any thoughts? Keeps time perfect but will not let you set it. Crown/stem replacement? It's an 21J auto i think

I will have another look mate for it.
kbiz
first thing to do is take the CG off and see if you can set it properly... if so then the stem needs to be adjusted so the crown doesn't hit the CG...

wimpie007
Well i received the watch today but even with the CG off i can't set the time or date, it does wind. Also the stem if that's what you call it doesn't lock into the movement, looks like its too short?

PeteM
Just a thought but is that a T48 crown with a standard rep stem?
kbiz
sounds like previous owner messed up the keyless works when removing the stem... needs to be broken down and fixed...
wimpie007
The seller said it was broken when he got it, he thinks the factory put in a wrong stem or something Just a thought but is that a T48 crown with a standard rep stem? Whats a T48?
FxrAndy
Can you get the step to lock in to the movement with the crown removed from it? that will tell if the keyless works is functioning or not.
Drulee
Normally I'd say it is probably the keyless that needs fixing, but that stem looks like an A7750 stem, and I'm fairly certain the 029 uses that movement. So it may actually be the wrong one. If another member can confirm that is the right stem for the 029 movement, that would help in eliminating that as a potential cause. Do you know if anyone was ever able to set the time, or if someone changed the crown/stem recently?
wimpie007
The seller said it was broken when he got it, he thinks the factory put in a wrong stem or something I also see an movementscrew missing Pics of the movement: What stem should go into this one then? Mine is 1.2cm
