No. They're not great (at least the ones I've seen weren't)... Edit: I should clarify that the fake Rail dial I've seen was not for a 1665, but rather a 16550 Explorer Rail dial... The space between the words Superlative Chronometer and Officially Certified are in-line as opposed to the space between these words being offset. rolexmaniac88 Posted February 22, 2010 Report Share Posted February 22, 2010 at the beginning, i think "rail dial" was meant to the first dials you can see on the first submariners, 1675, etc, where the minutes index are all lined up in a line circling the dial which looks like a "rail". It was in fact a cream dial Rail, but not very well done. Very sloppy actually. I don't think you'd want it (I wish I had taken a picture of it). Rail dials were produced by Stern, and are easily identified by the alignment of the SCOC text. The text is positioned from center out (i.e. center to left, center to right).
