sadh40
Hi all, I bought a new Rolex Oysterdate Precision with gold indices and I noticed that the date chnges at 10 pm! How do I rectify that? There are no good service centres here in my part of the world for replica rolexes. I bought the Rolex from a friend who bought me some watches from Hong Kong. Is there any thing I can do to rectify this? The watch has an automatic movement and has hack mechanism.
Gorilladame
You could switch the position of the hands from 10 to 12 ...
jmb
Yes, hands need to be removed and properly set...
freddy333
Remove the movement from the case & then remove the second & minute hands (the Watch Repair forum contains stickies with instructions). Then, with the stem pulled out into the time-setting position, s-l-o-w-l-y turn the hands until the date just switches over (you may need to do this a few times to get used to where it changes). Place the minute hand lightly (not fully - you may need to reposition a few times) onto the center pinion & run the hand through a 24-hour cycle to be sure the date now changes within 30 seconds +/- of midnight (this is the spec for Rolex watches). If incorrect, remove the minute hand & repeat previous steps until you are satisfied with the hand's position. (Note that anywhere within 2 minutes +/- midnight for an unserviced rep movement is generally acceptable.) Press the hand down gently (never press hard), followed by the second hand & recase the movement.
