elisiX Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 Hey fellas... Picked this one up just yesterday but it might be moving to a new home very soon (no need for 2 1950 In-House movement monsters after all). The OEM croc on the 270 is seriously incredible and the grain on this particular strap is spectacular. One of the best i've ever seen without doubt.
swdivad Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 Looks beautiful How's it feel quality-wise? Can we see the caseback? Does the power reserve work?
StormTooper4 Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 Bejezzas thats such a beauty of a watch you have there
swdivad Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 Yes mate - Gen. Great watch ... My good friend just got one too... Probably one of the nicest Panerai out there IMO.
Watchmeister Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 Congrats on the new watch it looks fantastic. I am jealous.
elisiX Posted March 17, 2010 Author Report Posted March 17, 2010 Flipper Beautiful piece J lol yes it's beginning to feel like that..
sfa437 Posted August 14, 2010 Report Posted August 14, 2010 Odd that a guy off the Risti had a gen 270 stolen from your home and was told he'd be getting bupkis because your insurance didn't cover the loss. just sayin....
TK471 Posted August 14, 2010 Report Posted August 14, 2010 I really like it, but I prefer your 233. I think the "12" "6" provides just a big more balance... wish that "9" wasn't there. Plus, the handwind has it all over the auto any day! You've developed a stunning collection, it's been a joy watching it grow.
txcollector Posted August 14, 2010 Report Posted August 14, 2010 nothing to add. I did not notice the post was old.
sfa437 Posted August 15, 2010 Report Posted August 15, 2010 Hmmmmm... What's the serial number? Ya know I have been wondering the same thing for the past day or so....
babola Posted August 15, 2010 Report Posted August 15, 2010 Odd that a guy off the Risti had a gen 270 stolen from your home and was told he'd be getting bupkis because your insurance didn't cover the loss. just sayin.... Ahem...
Watchmeister Posted August 15, 2010 Report Posted August 15, 2010 Odd that a guy off the Risti had a gen 270 stolen from your home and was told he'd be getting bupkis because your insurance didn't cover the loss. just sayin.... I remember hearing this story and a good amount of grumbling months ago. I didn't know it was a member of the rep forums though. Assuming that Elisix is the same person another member both here and at Geeks was kind enough to alert me that there is currently a similar problem with him regarding an $1800 watch disappearing in the mail with no tracking when promised and no restitution forthcoming as of yet to the buyer. Hopefully he will turn up and resolve that one amicably. Please let us know. I don't know how it ever turned out at Risti but if it is confirmed he is abusing members at any of our forums we all should know it. I do hope this is not the case. I wouldn't expect him to respond here as he has not posted here in several months nor has he ever offered items for sale here. Then again it doesn't look like he is a candidate for making the "Approved High Value Seller" list at the moment either.
TK471 Posted August 15, 2010 Report Posted August 15, 2010 Wow. I didn't notice the age of the post either. Sad story.
burnz Posted August 15, 2010 Report Posted August 15, 2010 read up on the ongoing saga at RG.. hate to be judgemental but something doesn't quite smell right here..
