P4GTR Posted April 2, 2010 Report Share Posted April 2, 2010 I posted this in general because I really need some help, and this is where I will get the most exposure. I've removed movement/dials from cases before but not a 7750. I need someone to please point out how to do this. A tutorial, anything with pics, or some advice please! My chrono hand has come loose on my Skyland and I really want to fix it. This is my favorite watch, Its going to drive me crazy until its fixed. I know how to remove the movement tabs, thats about all I know. I think its going to zig, STAT. If you're reading this expect an email, R... It's overdue. hiker01 Posted April 2, 2010 Report Share Posted April 2, 2010 Just tremove the stem and the two Screw/Tab movement holders and then just slowly tap it downwards! freddy333 Posted April 2, 2010 Report Share Posted April 2, 2010 Pull the crown out to the winding position (1st stop - NOT the 2nd (hand-setting) position)Remove the 2 movement/case tabs/screwsDepress (not too hard) the stem locking button adjacent to where the stem enters the side of the movement while pulling the stem out. The only place you can really get into trouble is if you depress the button too hard, which can dislodge the locking components, after which the stem will not lock back in.Hold a clean, soft lint-free tissue/cloth over the backside of the movement & jiggle the case until the movement drops out.Reverse to reinstall (gently press the stem release button while sliding the stem back in). P4GTR Posted April 2, 2010 Author Report Share Posted April 2, 2010 when I unscrew the crown, im in winding position. pull once, im in date position, pull two clicks, im in time set. I've done this many many times with ETA 2836 etc. Like ByTor, I always do it in time set mode, against most peoples advice, but it never fails. I've only screwed up keyless works when trying to reinstall in winding position. I'm good with the stem release button pressure, using the correct tip, etc. My main worry was how the chrono buttons attached to the movement. This seems to be cleared up greatly. I was able to (without decasing the movement) get the chrono hand straight again, thus making the watch back to operational status. Thanks so much for posting, you guys made all the difference. If I choose to attack it later for a more perm. fix, I will. But I may leave well enough alone, this watch has a place in my heart, I need a 7750 specialist to service this. Take a look at the pic of a members watch I an doing a full service on...See how the chono pusher is sticking out on the one on am pushing?
