Smp 2254 and PO 42mm crystals

Hi all,

i have a quick question regarding the exact crystal size for a Seamaster 300 2254.80 and Planet ocean 42mm.

I just need to know the difference in diameter and thickness.

To my knowledge:

SMP 2254 Diameter 30.45 mm

Thickness 1.5 mm is it correct?

PO 42 mm Diameter ?

Thickness ?

Any clarification would be much appreciated.

Don't know the exact height measurement, but it's THICK!

Ubi po's crystal is thicker as far as know, probabily 2 mm.

Oops. I forgot to clarify; that is my PO crystal... 42mm 4th generation PO checking in... It's one thick mother--!

One of these days, I need to pop it out so I can send it in for AR I should also do the gen crown/tube swap as well at some point...

If anyone has these crystals in my current run, I could tell you the dimensions as I have all crystal measurements recorded. I just don't typically know what watches they've come from. The 42 PO is >2mm I think. The 45 UPO is 3.3mm thick.

SMP crystals vary alot depending on the maker. I've seen SMP crystals that are interchangeable with the 42mm POs.

I own a gen 2254.50 and a gen 42mm crystal. What I can tell you is that they are the same diameter. The PO crystal is thicker but I don't know by how much yet. I am having it installed on my 2254.50 as I modded it with a Gen PO bezel. What I can tell you is that a Gen PO bezel sits about .5mm higher then a Gen 2254.50 crystal but is flush with a PO crystal. To get that extra 300m of depth I'm betting that the crystal is thicker.

I'll measure the PO crystal tonight to give you a thickness and after the swap can give you a SMP crystal thickness if you want it..
