Nanuq Posted April 12, 2010 Report Posted April 12, 2010 How appropriate for this version of "Life in Alaska"... number thirty, or "XXX". From this morning's news, two bald eagles found embedded in a Valdez snowfield after, apparently, a courtship ritual gone terribly wrong. La grande petite mort
HauteHippie Posted April 12, 2010 Report Posted April 12, 2010 Whoa... not the brightest species on the planet, eh?
MasterOfPuppets Posted April 12, 2010 Report Posted April 12, 2010 I support the second theory, that the eagles got electrocuted Eagles aren't stupid, and nature doesn't "kill" by mistake!
Jkay Posted April 12, 2010 Report Posted April 12, 2010 tell that to the beavers which drop trees on their spouse/children/themselves. I've see eagles do the "talon touch" with their mates. They spiral each other in flight, and touch talons. It's awesome to see.
