andreww Posted April 20, 2010 Report Posted April 20, 2010 ...anybody have suggestions where? Anywhere on Front or in the theater district would be good. There's a nice place called the Beer Bistro over by me, but it gets a little crowded. Probably better to find a quieter spot.
Toadtorrent Posted April 20, 2010 Author Report Posted April 20, 2010 I'm good to go anywhere Downtown...how's Andrew's recommendation sound?
redwatch Posted April 20, 2010 Report Posted April 20, 2010 Since I'm coming to you guys, anywhere works for me. Downtown is probably best as it's easily accessible for me. I might just go to Yorkville and take the subway into downtown so somewhere along Younge or nearby would be ideal for me.
mactower Posted April 21, 2010 Report Posted April 21, 2010 Beer Bistro, The Keg on York St., Alice Fazooli's has a fantastic back patio, the Loose Moose on Front St. If Yorkville is better and the weather is good, Remy's has a solid patio, or the Bedford Academy.
andreww Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 So long as they've got beer, I won't complain. The bar under the Strathcona is pretty quite and reasonably priced as well. Good drinking spot.
Dave123 Posted April 23, 2010 Report Posted April 23, 2010 Just bought a blue SOHC on mesh Andrew, missed that chance but who knows...so many Breits,so little time at the AD's.
Toadtorrent Posted April 23, 2010 Author Report Posted April 23, 2010 Nice pick Dave!!! Would love to see that in person. You haven't scored a Chronomatic 49 by any chance have you?
Toadtorrent Posted May 4, 2010 Author Report Posted May 4, 2010 So what are people's preference? I would be good with - Strathcona Hotel bar - Beer Bistro - Alice Fazooli's backyard patio So far...I'm good to go!!
redwatch Posted May 9, 2010 Report Posted May 9, 2010 So which shall it be? Just trying to plan my day for Friday
mactower Posted May 10, 2010 Report Posted May 10, 2010 Hey Folks, Just found out I'll be out of town this weekend for work, flying out Friday afternoon. I'm really sorry I'm going to miss meeting you fine folks, have a great time at the meet! Cheers, M.
Toadtorrent Posted May 11, 2010 Author Report Posted May 11, 2010 Hi folks, Stacey and I are still game. I'm thinking it might be raining this Friday, so a patio is not a great idea. The Pub in the Strathcona Hotel that Andreww mentioned is good for pub food...or if we want something more ritzy, the Beer Bistro is a bit funkier, but will be louder. Any final decision? I'm thinking after work...maybe 6pm? What say you guys?
Toadtorrent Posted May 12, 2010 Author Report Posted May 12, 2010 Let's say 6pm at the Strathcona Pub? How's that sound for people?
Toadtorrent Posted May 12, 2010 Author Report Posted May 12, 2010 We'll have birthday drinks in your honour R!!
PJKITEFLYER Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 (edited) I'm in for a day/time later in the summer - this weekend I'm off flying kites. Edited May 12, 2010 by PJKITEFLYER
redwatch Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 See you at 6pm at the Strathcona then guys! I'm going to hit up the Photographic, Video & Digital Imaging Show at the International Center in the morning & afternoon and then zip over to the Strathcona.
Anguz Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 Wish I was coming lads. I'm moving to London, England in four days so cannot spare the time right now. Have fun!
krustybrand Posted May 14, 2010 Report Posted May 14, 2010 If people will still be there around 9ish, I'm in. I finish work at 8, and it will take me a while to get in there from the eastern 'burbs.
