Pugwash
400$ for a PN dial - too good to be true. Yes, and he uses weaselspeak to hide the fact that it's a rep. IT'S A **UNIQE** MINT CONDITION **COLECTEBLE** DIAL. IF YOU WANT TO HAVE **RARE** PAUL NEWMAN DIAL THIS IS THE DIAL FOR YOU. AN ORIGINAL DIAL LIKE THAT COST BETWEEN $10.000 TO $18.000. ubiquitous
You will not find a genuine Paul Newman Exotic dial for less than $10k US. That's right.... That's the dial only. What's more.... You will probably never see it on eBay as it would never have the opportunity to surface there. Serious collectors of genuines are actively seeking these dials, nd if the dial is right, are willing to pay obscene amounts of cash for one. There are also people who use the dials to convert standard 6263's into PN's to unscroupulously increase the value of their watches (sometimes as much as 3x - 4x their value; standard 6263's typically sell in the $18k to $25k range, BTW). You will most likely find a standard 6263 dial on the market, but those usually sell for quite a lot as well ($5k+ for good condition original dial)

ubiquitous
To be fair... You can obtain a repainted dial on a genuine Singer blank fairly easily... But, it won't be considered genuine, and definitely won't be original. But, for a rep... Probably good enough

Unless he says Aftermarket, he's scamming. It's nowhere near as rare as he says.
Heywood
Here is another source for redials, might be worth checking out his prices before you make a decision. These dials look pretty decent. Site is www.timeman.net
