Yes, the T-115 is correct for the 6542, and the T116 for the 1675. But a little birdy told me the T-38 is a domed replacement, without cyclops. And it looks prett-tt-ty darn nice.

Certainly interesting, but the raison d'etre of this project is to end up with an oem 6542 (with the possible exception of a gen jubilee bracelet instead of the more typical Oyster). I have never liked the cyclops on Subs (which is why I have never owned a 1680 or later dated Sub variants), but I think other models (including GMTs) look funny without it.

Wow, this really is amazing. I have been longing for this watch ever since I saw it on Pussy Galore's wrist in Goldfinger. I know, I think i was the only one looking at her wrist:-)

I was thinking about building a cheaper, more beater-esque version of what you have done. Anyone have any experience with Perfect Clones 6538? Figure that could be a nice base as it uses a ETA already. I REALLY want the bakelite bezel like you have but the middle years GMT had a metal insert while Rolex fixed the radiation problem on the first batch. Thought about sticking on of those in (cheaper for sure) and going from there.

Truly though, yours is something to behold!
