310jag
As promised, here are some pics of a few special pieces I have at work right now. We're not an AD for Rolex, however. Years back we took these pieces as trade-ins towards new diamond merchandise. I spent several hours on them, including removing all the bracelets, doing full re-polish jobs on all the polished surfaces, and even touching up some of the brushed areas. We've shown them dozens of times in the past couple weeks, and I don't expect to have them for too long. One is a two-tone gents Datejust, champagne dial with bar markers and fluted bezel. One is a two-tone ladies Oyster-date with a champagne dial as well. Both these watches have S serial numbers which dates them to 1993. They were both bought at the same time by the same people, and traded in back, of course, at the same time. The third watch is an all 18k ladies "Presidential" with what is a somewhat off-white roman dial. I don't know a production year on this one yet. I still need to do some more research. It didn't have a letter before the serial number, so it's a little older than the other two. Regardless, they are all three beautiful watches. They all keep superb time and are solid as a rock. We also received several aftermarket bezels which I believe are from Milano. Two of them are for the gents DJ.. 1ctw bead set and 1.5ctw channel set. And for the ladies watches we received a diamond bezel (forgot the total weight ), a diamond/sapphire, diamond/ruby, and diamond/emerald one. The boxes are NOT included with the watches, as they are a part of my personal collection and for display only. Also pictured for comparison purposes are my SS Datejust and TT Sub. I really can't say enough about my SS DJ from joshua. The printing on the dial is bolder and quite nicer than even the gen. As is the date font and mag. Weight wise, they are *extremely* close! I often let customers handle the gen TT and my rep SS, and no one has ever said a thing. At one point in time we also had a mid-sized Oyster-date, which was only a year or so old. It had the hollow center link bracelet and I got to play with it a bit...and well, honestly, the bracelet on my sub felt better. I'm quite disappointed with the quality of the new TT oyster bracelets. If anyone ever tries to call someone out based on that alone, then they have NO idea what they're talking about. Even the gens leave much to be desired. Anyway, enough talk, here's the pics!! Like I said, I don't expect to have these around for long. They're all priced THOUSANDS less than what you would expect. I'd love to have the gts DJ myself if I had a few thousand laying around. The small display I set up Sorry, kinda blurry! Kinda blurr, again..
