Martyd3
I was going to get the rep, but I knew some of the flaws (no AR and the alignment of the "10" on the bezel) would set me crazy. I found this gen at a fair price and decided to go for it. So far, I love it. The case, which is 43 mm, hugs my 7.5" wrist nicely. Someone with a 7" or even smaller wrist could wear it with ease. The bracelet is well made and very comfortable. There are removable full and half links for adjustment, plus three additional adjustment holes in the clasp. There is also a diver's extension, which is very easy to use. The case and bracelet are flawlessly made with no sharp edges; something you rarely find with any rep. The crystal has AR on the inside only. It is effective and near colorless. The bezel turns with a satisfying click. It is easy to use, but will not move accidentally. The dial has a lot of detail. The hour markers are raised and trimmed in black to match the hands. The effect is similar to a white dial Explorer II. They contrast the silver dial well and look great. The ridges are very subtle and don't photograph well. They look more pronounced depending on the viewing angle and light source. It is a very nice effect. The applied 500m plaque (not sure what else to call it) which frames the date, is a very nice touch. It is brushed with a polished edge. I was unsure if I would like the date at nine, but even with the cyclops, you hardly notice it is there. The display back is nicely done and the Caliper 5 (ETA 2836-2 automatic) movement is well decorated. All in all, it is a great watch, which I believe will get a lot of wrist time. If I missed anything, feel free to ask. Marty

Martyd3
Thanks. I would be nitpicking to find anything wrong with the design of this watch. It's that nice.
