anyone know if the rep Montlanc Etoile pen with the montblanc diamond in the lid looks any good?? and if it accepts genuine refills

Yes and no.

Yes it looks good, no it wont accept gen refills.

There are two things you can do (1) using drill bits slowly reem the shaft out until it will take a gen refill (2) Forget the gen refill and use Parker refills.

The MB etiole that i just bought from josh which looks just like this takes gen refills. Bought three (black, blue and felt gen refills) and they all fit, even though his site doesn't say they will.

So does the cartier for that matter

Ok cancel my above comments it seems that replica pens have improved over the last year or so too.

Hehe, sry Ken. i should have mentioned that the Cartier takes gen MB refills BTW... haven't tried Cartier ones.

The cartier is the better looking - more authentic/believable of the two.

While I'm at it I should also mention that difference between the rep and gen refills really is negligible. Very hard to tell using or viewing the pen with rep Vs, gen refill comparision...

if anything the rep one feels minutely 'scratchy' to write with. But i could be tripping, was very hard to tell after full compare...

what website do i look at to find the pens, especiallyCartier, by Josh??

I emailed them at trustywatchguy.com and they said that they do take genuine refills................will wait and see
