AXO
I have a good friend who has a Gen Full Size Automatic Omega Seamaster 300 Chronometer (Jame Bond) who is thinking of selling it. He bought a Gen Rolex about 2 years ago and his Omega has been sitting in his watch box ever since. He said make a reasonable offer. The watch is about 5 - 8 years old and has no signs of wear except for the Bezel insert has faded alittle. My friend advised he had it serviced about 2 years ago. The watch has no box or papers, I was with him when he bought it so I know it is a Gen. My question is what is a reasonable offer and is it possible to have Omega replace the blue bezel. Thanks in advanced AXO
ubiquitous
I believe the Seamaster you are speaking of is the 2531.80? Box and paper examples seem to be around the $1250 to $1500 range. No B&P's sell for around $900 - $1000 it seems.

Mapman57
So....where are the pics? Hope that the deal went to plan..... Edited July 2, 2010 by PMMUTD68
AXO
The deal went as planned. I am very pleased. The watch had some scratches that were easily removed with a buffing wheel The watch is very comfortable on the wrist. Unfortunately it has not gotten any wrist time since I received my Cubeistan Pam 187 the same day.
hooky
wasn't the bracelet and folding clasp supposed to be brushed and the small interlinks in between to be polished???

hooky
yep, that is the first thing I would do, the bracelet (as it should be) is very nice on the SMP. Completely polished makes it look off.

AXO
The watch looks way better in person. I am a horrible photographer.
Jimster
IMO these are the "dress" diver watch and I think the polish adds a touch of class. Goes well with the martini and not the wet suit! Wear it well@ Jim
