iceclimber
I am now on the path of discovery... discovery of my lust for all things vintage. I have acquired a 5513 that has been vintaged and slightly modded, and now my focus has become the highly praised 1680. I would prefer something that has been modded and loved by one of the fine artisans on this forum, but these seldom come up for sale. I am now looking toward buying the best "base" 1680 from one of the fine dealers. Any feedback or suggestions?? It seems that through my reading of many posts, every sample has its flaws,( many glaring, others tolerable ). Which 1680 from which dealer offers the best starting point? HELP!!!! alligoat
Certainly the best starting point at this time is the PT 1680. Red or white dial, it's a great beginner watch.
lhooq
Thanks to the thread title, I got a nice mental image of a Rolex ad featuring Leonard Nimoy. Brightlight has a modded 1665 on sale right now. It's not a 1680, but the only difference is 15.
