w0lf Posted July 23, 2010 Report Posted July 23, 2010 Hi, Wondering if anyone's tried and succeed in fitting these onto ETA2846-2. I guess they're cheap enough to throw out in case they don't fit but on the same note, does anyone know where to get a set of white lumi hands that will fit 2846? Thanks!
dbutlerman Posted July 23, 2010 Report Posted July 23, 2010 I just bought these http://cgi.ebay.com/Hands-ETA-2824-2-White-Rolex-Tudor-Submariner-/230499144533?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35aad1d355#ht_500wt_1043 from Clarks and they fit....

milesd Posted July 23, 2010 Report Posted July 23, 2010 Those are Tudor hands so they should fit an ETA no problem. If I remember correctly, I think the cannon pin on the 28xx movements are the same, but I could be wrong.
w0lf Posted July 23, 2010 Author Report Posted July 23, 2010 Thanks guys, yeah that was my thinking after I read Yuki's description "Can 100% fit for Tudor ETA cal.2824/2784 automatic movement". But I'm not hell-bent on using Yuki, if clark is known to work I'll get them instead.
geyper man Posted July 24, 2010 Report Posted July 24, 2010 For sure, the yuki's TUDOR compatible hands fits perfectly the ETA series 2824/2834/2836/2846, as an example, a pic of two recent projects:
freddy333 Posted July 24, 2010 Report Posted July 24, 2010 For sure, the yuki's TUDOR compatible hands fits perfectly the ETA series 2824/2834/2836/2846 Most Tudors are ETA-powered (this is the principal difference between Rolexes & Tudors), which is why hands made to fit them should fit an ETA. Similarly, gen Tudor hands should fit an ETA.
flex Posted July 24, 2010 Report Posted July 24, 2010 Wolf, yes I have tried Yuki Tudor hands on MBW reps. Suki's Tudor hands are pretty good imo. flex
w0lf Posted July 24, 2010 Author Report Posted July 24, 2010 Thanks, Flex, do you think they're better than clark? Hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to post a picture of the dial I'm planning to use them with. Freddy, ISWYDT know where I could score a set?
freddy333 Posted July 24, 2010 Report Posted July 24, 2010 ebay, timezone, vrf, etc are good places to search for gen Tudor parts.
flex Posted July 26, 2010 Report Posted July 26, 2010 Wolf, I prefer Yuki's.. Clarks have slightly shorternose on their hands (circled in white) and slighlt different shape barrels.. Geninue ones are longer. Yuki hands also have its flaws. but to me, the short nose is a very big flaw... Flex
