kingkitesurf
Look what I received in the mail today... The gen tropic #39 non-superdome!! from the TWG on the bay. Question remains... is it really genuine and how can I tell....? I guess I need an expert eye like Ubi.
ubiquitous
Genuine. No doubt This is the 'flat' 39 Profile and height says it all. The icing on the cake is the bevel around the edge. Good stuff. If you got this one for around $100, I'd say that's an excellent find.

Guest avitt
Hmmmmmm. Has anyone else noticed that the SAME HANDWRITING appears on all the tropic crystal envelopes? They must have some old guy somewhere with a green felt tip pen just writing "39" or "16" or "19" or "21" in the top right corner of tiny little envelopes. All day long. Happy as a lark. ...Yup...and all those envelopes are taped closed. BTW, if anyone want to go into the fake Tropic 21 biz, I've got about 30 wax envelopes that you can have
Guest avitt
I know that I'm talking about a different Tropic here, but did anyone else notice the difference in the bevel size in Tribal's recent gen vs. rep sub pictures? vs. ...Maybe Rolex has changed their specifications over the years....Or maybe, these are all just replica Tropics
lionsandtigers
i want that dudes job, just sitting there marking little wax paper packets all day long......somewhere in geneva, lol. of course, pocketing over thousandth one my myself and my amigos here..... free superdomes for all as for those 2 different sub tropics, i have seen both bevels on gen subs. i think its possible that the one with the lesser beveled edge is the stock crystal, while the heavier bevel may be oem, but i'm pretty sure they are both gen

On mine at the second pic it's a genuine Tropic 127... You see on gen watches some times generic pieces.. RG Tribal
