scooterboy Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 hi, i read on repgeek the silver themes comes from a other maker than the rest of the roo`s with sec@12 - is this true? i did order one last week, and i want the same quality as my orchard road! thanks
fitipaldi Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 I ordered one too from Andrew. I received his QC pics and I realized the red markers were overprinted (on the silver ring) in the 12' subdial. Andrew sent me pics for a replacement and it has the same issue. The factory said him all the bacth presented this problem. Now I'm waiting QC of the new Grey Themes version. I suggest you to ask QC pics to your dealer.

fitipaldi Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 I'm waiting the QC pics of Grey Themes to make a decision.
eunomians Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 Interesting news. Looks like I will wait to order both the Silver Themes and Grey Themes until the QC is worked out.
fitipaldi Posted September 10, 2010 Report Posted September 10, 2010 Ok, I received a QC pic of the Grey Themes: The watch looks pretty good. The bezel screws are missaligned but the watch will be sent inmediatly to Francisco for a full treatment (service+lume) and he will take care to install properly the screws.

Why would you go for a lume job? The gen doesn't have any.....
apollo22 Posted September 10, 2010 Report Posted September 10, 2010 The QC on all the bezel screws are really bad, esp the one at two o'clock, doubt they could be fixed as it is a manufacturing gap and fit issue rather than a installation issue.
fitipaldi Posted September 10, 2010 Report Posted September 10, 2010 Thanks for your comments. Andrew will add a new set of bezel screws.
TmeShare Posted September 10, 2010 Report Posted September 10, 2010 Why would you go for a lume job? The gen doesn't have any..... Actually the OEM does have black lume as does the silver theme version. Yes, there is black lume!!
fitipaldi Posted September 10, 2010 Report Posted September 10, 2010 Actually the OEM does have black lume as does the silver theme version. Yes, there is black lume!! Exactly. I will go for it.
scooterboy Posted September 12, 2010 Author Report Posted September 12, 2010 Please back to my topic, is the silver themes from a different maker?
scooterboy Posted September 12, 2010 Author Report Posted September 12, 2010 hi here the QC picture from my silver themes untitled 2.bmp
djscotie Posted September 12, 2010 Report Posted September 12, 2010 Dont worry about the bezel screws, what you are seeing there is the rubber o-ring. My silver themes arrived like that and now its perfect.
sander Posted September 13, 2010 Report Posted September 13, 2010 Actually the OEM does have black lume as does the silver theme version. Yes, there is black lume!! I know there is black lume but I checked one a few weeks ago at my AD and there wasn't much lume on it. No glow at all, not even when I hold it under the light for more than 10 seconds. Also my gen navy dial does not have lume.
MADRED7 Posted September 13, 2010 Report Posted September 13, 2010 hi here the QC picture from my silver themes I don
