V23 / V72 dial...

I tried searching but couldnt find an answer to what I thought would be an obvious question for you Daytona gurus...

I have a 6263 DW with the mystery movement. I want to swap to a different/better dial and probably install a v23 at the same time. I would love to get a NOS dial but i am afraid I will have to settle for a good aftermarket or redial. Are the mystery movement, V23 and V72 dials the same size in regards to chrono register placement? Can I use a gen dial with a V23 or the current mystery movement I have right now? I would assume yes, but i dont want to buy anything without finding out for sure first

Another question, does the Rolex engraved bridge from a V72 fit on a V23?

cheers

Lonnie

The subdials for the sec and min registers are the same distance/position whether it's a V23 or V72; MM is also the same. Of course, the hour counter is a dummy on the V23 and MM; that hand has to be glued/fixed in place.

I seem to recall that the dial for the MM is not a direct fit to the V23 because of the dial feet, however. Just a slight bit off if memory serves me right.

Thanks Ubi

Im gunna keep my eyes open for a nice NOS or good aftermarket black dial. I never use the chronos anyways so it doesnt matter if they dont function as the gen and v72. I'll prob just keep this MM until it dies. Its been serviced and runs very well. Maybe i'll look for a v72 also and get a new case... OH GOD i hate these watches!! Spending all this money on a watch I dont even wear lol

My MM Daytona is at Domi's right now to have a V726 installed and some other mods. The case can apparently be modified to accept a V72 (I didn't want to buy another case from DW since he screwed me over big time with my MM), will post pictures once it returns, shouldn't be too long. :Jumpy:
