spineguy
I have recently purchased the Sub non-ceramic version from a member here. The watch is perfect and Im sporting it daily. My question is the bracelet. It seems really light and hollow feeling. Also forgive me but it sounds kinda tingy when it moves on my wrist. Is this a sure sign of a rep? I went to try on the ceramic version at the AD and I dont remember the bracelet feeling this way. it was almost like a piece of jewelry it was so substantial. maybe this was one of the changes rolex made when they went to the ceramic? I guess I would like some guidance on if the gen bracelet of the non ceramic sub and its feel. if it was also hollow, light and tingy then I wont worry. thanks in advance! maxman
I dont know that much about Rolex and there bracelets. I have heard more that once that the older Rolex bracelets are [censored] when considering the outrageous prices they go for, this is what I have heard,I dont know this from personal experence. spineguy
kinda interesting as these are not inexpensive gens.. if they made the change to a better bracelet to the new ceramic sub, that explains the difference in price. the reg sub is 4700 and the new ceramic sub is 7250. saving my pennies.. someday! kbh
The gen non ceramic bracelet is "hollow, light ant tingy" that will last 40 years or more. It's an engineering masterpiece.
JoeyB
I've never cared for the hollow mid-links and stamped clasp on the older genuine Rolex sport models. It always seemed to me that for the price they should have done the bracelets better. The 'new' Glide-Lock clasp that comes on the DSSD is an "engineering masterpiece" in my opinion. I've put them on my 16710 and 166710 reps. And I used the newer hidden clasp Jubillee on my 6542 because it's a more solid piece.
jmb
The newer ones feel more substantial but the old "tinny" ones can't be beat as far as comfort is concerned.
