Francisco
Many times I received PMs asking about the chance of adding antireflective treatment (AR) to AP seconds at 12 watches. I do not normally recommended it, as normally the gen has no AR. However, it seems there is a lot of interest. As I am receiving many APs, normally for movement improvement, I have the opportunity of making in this thread: 1.- A comparison of an AP without AR and an AP with AR from 2geek (twogeek). 2.- A comparison of ARs from 2geek and Fine_dd 1.- COMPARISON AP WHITOUT AR AND WITH AR FROM 2GEEK. THE AP WITH AR FROM 2GEEK IS ALWAYS ON THE LEFT. As seen in previous picture, when the glass does not receive directly light the difference is quite small. I think that the flat glass of APs helps to this small difference. A similar case, small difference: Now follow pictures when the glass shows reflections: Few days after taking these pictures I was working on an AP with AR from Fine_dd, So I decided to make a comparison 2geek / Fine_dd. Unfortunately both APs are not from the same model, but at least both have dark dial. Here follows the AP with Fine_dd AR. As photo shows, the AR from Fine_dd returns a neutral or a bit yellow color reflection. The comparison: In my opinion, both treatments have the same antireflective quality, and the difference is the color of the reflections.
