Michael_B Posted September 29, 2012 Report Posted September 29, 2012 Any trusted dealer should be able to get you that watch. Concepta just switched the movement with a genuine one and replaced the strap. Just remember that the asian movement is not very relaible and might fail after some time. (That is why he replaced the movement.) As rick suggested PM him instead if you want one with a genuine movement. (But don't put too much hope in getting one. As far as I read, genuine parts are getter harder to find.)
chad Posted October 7, 2012 Report Posted October 7, 2012 Guys this thread is from 2010. You might want to PM him instead. He takes a good two years to answer PM's so on his time frame it's current.
icoopernicus Posted October 9, 2012 Report Posted October 9, 2012 Those are great pictures of a beautiful watch, the faulty rep movement has always kept me from pulling the trigger on one of these. As a chronograph guy this has always been my absolute favorite watch, it's just a little pricey. For half of the money, I have put the Carrera Calibre 1887 at the top of my list and I think a nice franken of this stunning beauty will have to do for me, I just love this watch! Anyone know what a Gen movement would run for this project? If I can even find one that is Also, does the gen movement accept the rep hands, or are Gen hands required for this build as well?
