Lobster
Hi and congrats on the watch. If you are thinking about keeping it in the long run, a service on the movement makes sense. Additionally, I would mod the power reserve needle to indicate full 7 days charge. Perhaps a lume job and AR on crystal. But those are just extra preferences. All in all, one of the best IWC reps in the game
pabler
One of the most important things in a Rep is the strap. You should change that inmediately...... And as Lobster says, AR, Lume and maybe datwheel recess mod.
maxman
If It were me my first concern would be changing over to a high quailty strap, the rest you can figure out as you go along. Congratulations on your beautiful new BP
robertk
Aside from the strap, just wear it and enjoy it! it is a great rep.
jkathar
This is a beautiful rep indeed.I own the same too.My friend owns one too. The only problem that we have is that the crown has gone unscrewed and it cannot be set in the right place. As i know the most Big pilot reps have this problem. Generally is a very good watch. jkathar
i'll try to send you some photos to check the problem. Please inform me if someone else with the same watch had this problem We are three guys with the same IWC who are facing the same problem!!! pabler
Same problem with mine. You can order a new one from your dealer, or as my watchsmith did shorten the stem (I think that was what he did) and now you simply don´t need to screw it. It´s true there is a very small gap, but when wearing it you have to see it from a very short distance to even see it.
ugoderosa
There is a thread on this over on RG. One fix is to take plyers and lightly pinch the crown tube. Many have tried this and it works. This is better than buying a replacement tube, as it is likely to happen again.
