tonyp1 Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 (edited) I like the thunder bird but Im not finding any that have the correct 36mm case. Most are 38mm. Where to buy the most accurate I dare ask.. Edited January 11, 2011 by tonyp1
jmb Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 Not sure which one the "thunderbird" is but I got this 36mm from Silix...
freddy333 Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 If you want accuracy, you may have to build your own. I have not come across any rep 'Birds with the correct 36mm case like the gens. This is a gen 1625 (made between 1959 - 1977 & powered by either 1565 or 1575)

craigb Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 This is my gen thunderbird which hardly gets used. I prefer using my reps. factories need to start making end links like these for the dj's, they make the correct sel's for the subs but not the dj's. i am currently building a franken 116234, but the hard part is the end links. but thinking of trying a milguass bracelet. sorry for the thread craping
freddy333 Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 What makes a TOG a Thunderbird? The Thunderbird name stuck when the US Air Force started to award members of its acrobatic team, The Thunderbirds, with the mid-50s Datejust 6309 There is a webpage someone put together about the Thunderbird DJ, which does a pretty decent job outlining its history, but I cannot locate it just now.
hank7502 Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 The Thunderbird has a different bezel, not fluted.
Prsist Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 I didn't know they rep'd a Thunderbird? Thanks for the info
