Now it's installed and I would like to hear the comment from the experts on this forum on the looks of my 1680. Is the difference between the Top Hat and other Gen Tropic the chamfer around the top perimeter of the crystal.....? Do they have the same Tropic Ref number, or not? Cats Posted January 13, 2011 Author Report Share Posted January 13, 2011 The gen crystal that was on the before has indeed a more conical shape as the top hat. This one is almost completely straight , for that reason it's called the the top hat if i'm not mistaken. They both have the same reference number " 127 " .
