Hi Guys,

Was hoping you could pitch in on a question I have.

Someone I know, is selling a gen submariner date (non ceramic version) with a random serial number type. I wasnt aware that such a watch existed, as the random serial numbers came in with the new ceramic sub? Although I do know some of the ceramic subs come with V serials...

If such a watch does exists, were there that many produced do you think?

there must be quite a few, because I have seen them for sale almost daily over on the Rolex Forum sales forum

They started the random serial number maybe about 6-8 months before the last 16610 rolled off the assembly line, so there's probably quite a few
