My New Pam236 Ziggified

Recommended Posts

Once I got my 236 on my wrist, I knew it was a keeper. So I sent it to The Zigmeister to get a full service and relume. The watch is from the new batch that has a "too green" colour to the markers and numerals. The Zigmeister was great to deal with and I really appreciate him taking care of me

Here are his comments about the watch (Remember this is a week old watch, which show the quality of assembly from the "factory"):

Pam 236

1. Watch previously worked on - excessive silicone on caseback and stem - cleaned - correct amount applied (From when watch was QC'd and waterproofed by dealer)

2. dial lume - all markers and subdials painted with tritec reflective white paint - required to cover the green before luming

dial lume C3 A+

hands lume C3 A+

3. movement completely disassembled - reasonably clean, partially oiled - cleaned/inspected - cannon loose - fixed - some wear noticeable in mainplate stem bushing - likely cause no lube and not clean before installation - wear doesn't affect operation - hairspring not concentric in flat - fixed - beat and rate adjusted and timed 3 positions

4.Repaired centre transfer gear located in 30 min counter, had too much end shake. It was disengaging during reset. Dial washer added to take up slack. Tested Multiple times.

Here are before and after pix as well as some lume shots (I have no idea how to take one properly). Natural light charges the dial like you would not believe. You find yourself staring at your watch in the shade because it lights up incredibly!

5 second charge with pen light and photo taken on 'no flash' mode of my camera:

I didn't know there was an issue?

While Rob had it he could of got the CG legs flush to case and flattened the pin hole and set pin for gen look. Not a big issue mate but while he had it, it would of got the CG sorted properly :)

I cant see your lever properly but if like most it isnt completely flush he could of sorted that too...

Dont get me wrong mate I am just being picky looks fine the way it is...just remarking on the opportunity while Rob had it.

my 000 was lumed by Rob - the tritec white paint and the A+ lume is simply amazing...

Definitely worth going with the A+ on these given the lumed areas....
