KB
Lost a dear friend not long ago and quite frankly I have been down in the dumps since. Well tonight I thought I would raise a couple of glasses in his honor and you know what I feel damn good. Roy was a drinking buddy of mine but more he was also a long life friend through our music association and on my last visit before he passed away he asked me when I was going to start playing again. I said "Roy lets make a deal, you get better and get out of here (hospital) and I will start playing within a week" Roy reached across and shook my hand but then he looked me in the eye and said "Ken I can't promise to get better but I do promise I will get out of here". The thing about his funeral was the musicians came from all over and formed a mass band in the foyer to play hymns, beautiful way to go. So anyway these couple of glasses has steeled my reserve and I think I just might start working on the old embouchure again. Bottoms up my friends. KB
Thanks guys and I really do feel better now I have 'let go' @Max not many instruments I don't play, although I don't play stringed, but tuba is what I played professionally. That said my professional days were short and long ago, if I make a come back it will be in the amateur field. Ken
