Uhmm... this is not the first time I screw it.

Sometimes i can fix easily but this time...

I probabily pushed too ctrong the release butten and after I was able to wind the movement but not to set date and time.

AFter my fix I was able to set averything but not to wind the movement. :bangin:

Crazy, uh?

Any tip would be very appreciated. :)

Thanks

Remove the movement from case. Remove the dial and hands. Remove the date disc(If it has one) Find the offending part(Kindof a v shape with a Pin on the bottom) Reset it and re-assemble in reverse.

Piece of cake. Sometimes if you are lucky, you can see the pin out of position by looking at the side of the movement just above the stem position. A very small screwdriver and a gentle nudge will reset it.

Good luck!

You sure you have the right stem? Also, make sure the lever is positioned properly with the castle gear. The castle gear is what engages the barrel to wind and the wheel to set the time. It may be in backwards as well.

Stem's right.

I'll check the lever tomorrow , thanks Justasgood

Fixed

Here was the problem as you both probably suggested to me

It's very easy if you know what must have done

Well not quite, but, that spring keeps the castle gear engaged to the winding wheel. Explains the variation of Wind/no wind set/no set.

Congrats....now, be gentle and enjoy your handy-work :drinks:

Great info here. Is there a tutorial on this somewhere?
