What should I do with a broken DSSD?

Guys I need some advise. I bought a 21J DSSD V3 a while back. Well the movement has crapped out and I need to either part it or repair it. I have a quote from speedy (trusted watchsmith on another forum that I have used before) for $55 including the new movement to fix. My question is should I invest another $55 or just cut my losses? It does have a sapphire and I have noticed that the 21J version no longer come with this.

Part or fix?

Or spend $125 on a new ETA2836 and then you have a DSSD super duper extreme V9.3 that would cost you $400 from a dealer...

Either way throw a movement in there and bring it back to life. No point scrapping it if thats the only problem with it.
