What would cause this?

The other night I put on my SMP chrono and the time was correct. I checked the time about 20 min later and it was about 5 min slow. I re-set the time figuring maybe I screwed up. Later on that evening I checked the time and it was about 20 min fast. I knew I didn't screw up twice so I took the watch off and gave it a shake. Sure enough the min hand moved on its own. If I shook it one way the min hand would slide a good 15-20 min forward and if I shook it the other way it would slide back.

I am guessing this is not an easy fix whatever it is.

Might just be that the hand needs re-seating

fairly easy fix for a skilled watchsmith. If the hand is not seated well, it requires taking it off and reseating it.

I had a watch that this happened to... did you whack the watch or do something with "violent shaking"? Or sometimes, it just happens! Contact a modder, they should be able to help you out.
