mcotter
I have a GMT 11 which is clicking in the wind position. In the other positions it sets date & hands as usual. Before I engage an expert watchsmith can anyone shed light on this malady? There appears to be a slippage as I can wind it carefully as it will catch w/ every 3rd rev or so.The watch in question is a cartel a21j basic piece....My thanks for the tutelage, Regards, mcotter
FxrAndy
It sounds like the winding gears are slipping buy why are you winding it any way if the gears are slipping don't wind it any more as when is slipper there is a good chance of the gears wearing and showering the movement with bits of brass
freddy333
Could be a number of things. Problem with the keyless works, problem with the mainspring or problem with the crown itself. If it feels like something is slipping as you wind, then most likely a bad crown (weak/broken inner spring or worn inner splines).
Jkay
Have you ever owned an a21j watch before this one? The a21j is a very noisey movement .. like a cheap tin toy sounds. It buzzes very loudly when wound.
