Jkay
I love the way the gold hands catch the light against the dark dial, and under the shiny candy dome crystal. Who did your lever pin mod and removed the blue AR?
Harmtol
I was wandering where you bought this watch? Did you make any mods?

highlydope
Thanks for the kind words everyone. This particular 127 was originally purchased by a member over at RG less than a 60 days ago from Andrew at Trustytime. He wore it once and felt it was just too big for his wrist so he put it up for sale. I purchased it, and when I received it, it still had the clear stickers on it and was essentially brand new. You can purchase one just like it at this link. As for the mods, they've all been done by me personally. I stripped off the AR coating, tightened up the CG lever pin, flattened the pin to the CG, re-shaped the CG lever, and re-brushed/polished the entire case (still needs one more session). I also cleaned, adjusted and oiled the movement as it was bone dry and kinda dirty straight from the rep factory. The minute hand was also not attached well and needed to be re-pressed. I've handled a gen 127. In comparison, I'll take this rep all day long for the money - it runs really nicely, winds beautifully, even the CG lever snaps into place just like the real thing. $25,000 vs $200 and some elbow grease? Yeah, no contest. Edited April 21, 2011 by highlydope
tutima
Not the same watch as in the link...Movement looks different...
highlydope
Not the same watch as in the link...Movement looks different... How so? Are you talking about the different swan neck regulator? There has been some confusion over whether or not this movement is actually swiss, asian, or some combination. The person who originally bought it paid around $380 for it and supposedly purchased this version but this movement doesn't look like that one either (mine has flared spokes on the balance wheel, a different regulator, etc) so I'm not quite sure what to call this one *but* it does seem closer in appearance to the original link. cloner4
HD, your watch looks nice but if you say that you have handled a gen 127 then you know that the 2 can't be compared, i wanted to say this so that any newbies don't get disappointed thinking that a 300$ rep will even come close to a gen

I think it does come pretty close with the right mods and a good movement. A testament to this is the fact that I own a gen 112 and the 127 rep gets a lot more wrist time. I don't think anyone realistically believes a $300 rep is going to be exactly like the real thing and if they do, that's their problem - not mine. I think the Fiddy reps deserve some love! patrickm500
RH - speaking of the strap, is that a 26mm you squeezed on there or a 24..? Looks very neat! Patrick
