Guest Sql_pl Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 Love those blue markers and hands. I have a problem as I think it may be a bit too dressy for me to wear it in regular everyday situations but it is a keeper for sure... will be great to wear with a suit. Enjoy: And here is my current IWC family: Cheers!
Guest Sql_pl Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 Oh and it is 11th today so it is a day of correct Ingy datefont!
nxuan Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 Very nice IWC collection. Congratulations. I had a look at the orginal blue hands yesterday. Yours looks very close to the real deal, which was offered at $4600. A couple of minor cosmetic diiferences are hard to spot. The only thing that stops me from getting this rep is Asian 7750 with second dial on 6. I wonder if rep with swiss 7750 is going to be better.
By-Tor Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 I know IWC makes great watches. I know the brand has superb reputation among the WIS. Still, IWC has never really been my favourite. It's the over-simplistic design that I never liked... but lately the GST, Aquatimer and Ingenieur have been growing on me (yeah that's a dumb term)... but it's SO true. Damn... like I needed another brand to collect. That white GST is probably still my favourite... it's very beautiful watch. Great pics Maciek. You're on the roll buying new reps, eh?

HauteHippie Posted October 14, 2006 Report Posted October 14, 2006 Still, IWC has never really been my favourite. It's the over-simplistic design that I never liked... but lately the GST, Aquatimer and Ingenieur have been growing on me (yeah that's a dumb term)... but it's SO true. Right there with you Snowdog. The Ingenieur did it for me and I've already purchased and sent one to The Zigmeister. And let me tell you, the pics just don't do it justice. Once in your hand and on your wrist, it will really wow you. Solid as a rock and sleek to boot.
Pugwash Posted October 14, 2006 Report Posted October 14, 2006 Still, IWC has never really been my favourite. It's the over-simplistic design that I never liked. The simplicity is one of the things that appeals to me, and one reason I'm not too fond of the Ingie. The GST and PortoChrono are, in my opinion, such clean, well-balanced designs that their simplicity is their strength.
cosmosblau Posted October 19, 2006 Report Posted October 19, 2006 ... I had a look at the orginal blue hands yesterday. Yours looks very close to the real deal, which was offered at $4600. A couple of minor cosmetic diiferences are hard to spot. I was at the AD today, and was sad to notice how far off the Gen's blued hands and indices are from the rep. The Gen's blued metal is almost black, not the bright "Viagra" blue of these. I'm bummed because I wanted one badly, and the blue hands on all of the new portos are too obviously fake. Here in Hollywood, I would definitely get called out if I wore this rep.
