tghodin Posted April 23, 2011 Report Posted April 23, 2011 So, i just recieved my Rolex 1680 Single Red Asian from Joshua, with a DG4813, and the watch is beutiful. The movement however, seems to be either malfunctional or just bad. Whilst being brand new, it will run for max 5 minutes before it stops, only to spontainously start running later again. Winded it properly, and cared alot for the crown adjusting it. Is there something i can do? As of now i havent removed the caseback etc, but ive done it plenty of times on other watches to relume, vintage dial/hands etc. Many thanks!
Ronin Posted April 23, 2011 Report Posted April 23, 2011 Are the hands hitting each other? Seconds hand making contact with minute hand? Other thing could be an eyelash or lint, or other dirt or gunk in the movement / balance.

Can i do something about it, or am i stuck with a bad sample and lost money?
Bike Mike Posted April 23, 2011 Report Posted April 23, 2011 Contact the dealer. If you just got it, he should swap it out for you.
tghodin Posted April 23, 2011 Author Report Posted April 23, 2011 Yeah, i Mailed him, waiting now for response
FxrAndy Posted June 21, 2011 Report Posted June 21, 2011 Well the good news if that is the dealer wont sort the problem (which he should) a movement swap is not that difficult or expencive
