bumroxas
Tried a search on this but couldnt find any. For High end panerai reps from reputable sellers, how long do these usually last considering good maintenance on the users side? May I ask, How long have you had yours before breaking down in any way?
Jkay
Any quality timepiece, maintained at a reasonable level, is a potential heirloom.
rsea
They mostly run A6497 movements which seems to be pretty reliable. Best thing is the knowledge that if it fails in 5 years time you can put in another for less than $
bumroxas
thats great to know... rsea, what is your oldest still running rep to date?
pabler
And if it´s based in A775X, you only need to service them as Jkay says. Not a problem. Have mine for more than 2 years and work perfect.
lfovco
When you get a new one, make sure you service it asap. My Swiss 6497 replica of Pam 111 has been running for 6 and half years really well. I had it serviced within a month of getting back in early 2005. My Swiss 6497 rep of Pam Black Seal has been running well since 2005 as well. And my IWC Ingenieur that I got in 2006 is also running really well. But my Asian Chrono PAM which was also serviced in the first year died 4 years later. The cost of another service did not make sense anymore since it's almost as much as buying another one. Servicing chronos is expensive. I ended up trashing it into pieces. Despite that there are decent reviews of Asian movements, I would not buy one. I'd only get reps with Swiss movement.
ExtraExtra
Yes get it serviced. If you really like the watch, get the movement swapped with ETA.
