Hi guys. Tried searching but couldn’t find hit. Anyway will the current yuki snowflake casebacks fit a 1680 mbw case? Was thinking of converting a 1680 to a Tudor snowflake sub. Thanks.

I've had both watches but h factory and it exhibits the same phenomenon. The 005 will stand out more even when i switched cases. I think it has something to do with the specific dial color and the sausage lume which can be more distinct at every angle. Shown here is an h fact 005 and a 177

Its an MBK 1680 case converted to a 5513 from Reg. Yuki insert, pearl and dial. Hand is a mix of mbk and yuki. Gen crown. The bracelet from josh's 5513. Crystal is from a rep 1665 high dome. CG's were trimmed with the base slightly recessed.

Thanks Andy, I actually tried to bake the dial and hands under a halogen light and a bread toaster when I first got it. It didnt creme up and the paint started to bubble a bit. Good thing it flattened out when it cooled down.

As they say the modding never ends. I just finished installing a gen crown on this and noe the vintage bug has me thinking. Should I age the insert and creme the markers and hands? or leave it as is? BTW this has a rep superdome from my 1665. I kinda like the way it looks. Clarks t19 was a tight fit and seemed wokkier.

Can the cannon pinion be modified flush on these? This was a dealbreaker for me.

same thing happened to me...Brought an mbw 1680 case, 703 yuki tube, and 1.2mm gen springbars to a local watchsmith to get the lugholes and tube hole fitted. Explained to him what had to be done and the watchmaker comes out of his work area and tells me, "Its aftermarket sir, It wont fit!" I thought i explained it perfectly the first time and say "Yeah thats why I want it modded for the bars and tube." He tells me, " I wouldnt touch the CASE if I were you. Just ditch springbars and wrong tube and and get ones for rolex and your good to go." I explain to him again thats its "aftermarket" and he tells me that he wont touch the gen case...ha ha

Got my Pam 56 a few weeks back. I gave it up to a friend who really liked it. It's a looker. Good construction. Lugs not as sharp as noob cases and CG profile could be a bit better. Overall its a great watch to have.

Have the bracelet resized by the ad or service center. i know we can all do this blidfolded but its different when you get the watch personally from rolex. Surprise her when you pick it up together. Maybe Get ppers nd have the watch in her name if you can. The experience is worth more than a box rep or gen. Then go and take her to dinner..

Hey guys, Took a while but I recently updated my mbw 5513 with a yuki eta dial, bezel and pearl. Got a gen crown too but I still have to retap the case for the tube. Let me know if theres anything I could do with the existing setup to improve it as I'd like to keep costs at a minimum. The most I would do is probably get a better dial when one pops up at the FS section. now on to the pics: this is with an older insert not the yuki
