Thanks oncyte. Is tis spec correct for the 005?

I have a gunny Caitlin. But I aked Peter to send it without holes. I have my own puncher and put just 1 hole. The stock straPs are short for me too.

Got ya...a 36 would be really cool... Seangoh, I filed off the inner corners with a jewelers file. But just enough for a sharp corner. To get the inner top edges sharp, i took out from the top so i wouldnt cut too much and open up the cg rectangle hole too much. You see the edges from the factory are a bit chamfered. Pop up the lever pin by just a notch and file away following the exact contour of the cg. When done finish it off with a scotch brite pad then push the pin in. It should seat a bit recessed now. You gotta remove some ti off the inner lever too. It sticks out at the corner from the inside.

Hey wolf. So for this 240 it should be without a roller cg?... Interesting. Whats the right cg for this? Looked at some pics of gens and it seems to be the same. Its the same h fact cg they use on the 177 and 176. Loved this watch but the 177 got more wrist time.

It's beautiful...gotta fix that canon pinion tho..or swap with a noob movement. the best is to go with h 240 and a compatible noob auto and youll get a killer watch. heres mine with modded cg's

Hi scarface, not too sure but probably from a J series...
-
I'd like to know if the crown can be better, if so what should i replace it with?
-
After some months of just gathering dust in the parts bin, I decided to rebuild my 005k after a bad fall which broke the dial feet off and the canon pinions. gen CG polished crown 005k dial with the dial face glued to the movement I realized that how much i missed this watch after the build. edited with a better pic...

Wow...guess ill just leave it as it is for now then. Mapman is it possible for gen 5513's to have a t39 instead of a t19?
-
Thanks mapman. It's an mbw t39 from a 1665.
-
well' while waiting for a 1680 dial i converted it first to a 5513---except with a tropic 39. unenhanced pics baked the mbw hands to match the dial shouldve just let the dial alone...but i sprayed it with a clear coat from 2 ft away to give it a textured look...it reflects some gloss at some angles

Here are the pics. in its true color...my concern for now would be the cg's the case work, bracelet and bezel. I'll be changing the dial and hands soon to a non toasted one. The crown has a bit of a gap, might have to cut a wee bit from the stem. ( or just wait till i get the gen crown, since I have a spare, I filed off the bottom of the mbw crown) I'm looking for springbars that are rounded at the end and stick out at the lugholes, where can I get these?
-
Will do that as soon as I getgood pics. Thanks for the input guys. Mapman, that's a nice coffee dial there. You're right, might just stick to 127's for now. Will a Gen crown really really raise the level on this 1680?

Hi, Recently tried to mod my 1680 from Narikaa. Please dont hold back on the comments. Here are the mods: 1 Reprofiled CCG's 2 Buffed/ Softened Case---I think I may have overdone this. Too much polising will give the holes a chamfered look. Not sure if this is a good thing 3. Clarks Crystal 4. Faded Insert 5. Josh 5513 bracelet with 580 endlinks 6. Vintagized mbw dial and clark hands----this one was a disaster. need to get a new dial and hands for this Mods in line 1. 1,3mm lugholes 2. gen crown 3. ingod dial 4. replace hands I'm thinking of changing the crystal to a clarks t39. Any comments on this? Sadly it didnt come out as good as i had expected. For this mbw dial--- It took me a few hours to vintagize the dial---i used a 50w halogen lamp at first had it at about 1.5 inches from the dial---that turned it into a nice cream dial...shouldve left it as is I brought it down to half an inch and thats when disaster happed--itll burn quickly into a coffee brown hands in the oven---halogen didnt do any good on clark hands pics from my phone with a little effect

tried it on a josh 5513 dial the case unomodded--changed the insert and bracelet from josh's 5513 modded CG's
-
8k watch maybe but a 25k I wouldn't be using it while walking my dog. Reason is I got the new mbk red sub. Dial is the same as the white excePT for the red print. Everything said is spot on.
-
How about the new mbk 1680 red dial? Why do most choose white over red?

very nice....thats the way I like em...nice and thick

Sorry for the double post. Get some jewelers files. The best investment for panereps IMO. -

I like the fInish from what I see but you gotta square off the inside corners of the cg. Projectologist has a thread on this somewhere. -

is that incabloc an eta part or did you just mod it? Awesome...the devil is in the details.. one of my faves...177 here's a cousin...the 240 -
Been looking for definitive techniques on flattening the cp on auto pams specifically the Hfact 104's and 240's. Is it possible to just sand it directly as one would on a 6497?
