bumroxas Posted May 29, 2011 Report Posted May 29, 2011 (edited) Got a 005, overall its beautiful but wasnt quite happy with the CG brushed finish. Mine showed a little uneveness in the corners. With a jewelers sandpaper I rebrushed the finish. A little off from the gen but better than it started in my opinion. Let me know what you honestly think. I can always have a professional jeweler rebrush this if it looks off... Sorry forgot to take a side by side with a friends gen 005 but i hope the pics are enough. BTW is this a new caseback? with an 026 natural light white flourescent warm white the caseback Thanks guys Edited May 29, 2011 by bumroxas
R_Squared Posted May 29, 2011 Report Posted May 29, 2011 (edited) Yep. Looks like they have improved the caseback engravings - much deeper now rather than the lightly etched numbers in the previous batch. My new 005K also has the same caseback as yours. Edited May 29, 2011 by R_Squared
kurtz Posted May 29, 2011 Report Posted May 29, 2011 This is such a huge improvement, great cb finish.
Shortagear Posted May 29, 2011 Report Posted May 29, 2011 Gotta ask, given that this is a rep, why bother blacking out the FAKE serial numbers
bumroxas Posted May 30, 2011 Author Report Posted May 30, 2011 Gotta ask, given that this is a rep, why bother blacking out the FAKE serial numbers He he...I'm kinda paranoid..I do it so that the watch wont be marked as a rep. too bad for the gen owner too...
