1680
Hello, stupid question, but is the 1680 MBK the same as the MBW? Some are talking about their MBK/MBW 1680 (or 5513...), but on the other hand I rarely find something about the MBK 1680. This made me a bit confused... The Cartels, PTs and MBWs are well known but I want to find out if the MBK would be a better alternative. Mfg

Jkay
MBK = a shopping mall. The initials mean "The Mall of Everything" In the MBK shopping mall, there is a store named Na Piek Na Piek sells the famous MBK vintage rolex replicas MBW = a Dealer .. the intials mean "Maria's Best Watch" .. (Maria is a man, not a woman) MBW was the first dealer to offer Na Piek (MBK) watches to the Forum Community.
Mapman57
A watch bought at MBK Mall, as you say, is not neccessarily a 'MBW' version? In fact it is likely that it is not now, but it may be a more modern day equivalent if you look, dig and negotiate hard enough on a personal visit. The best way would be to use a trusted dealer like Reg (Narikaa) to source one for you, when he next visits the region? Or sources from his own personal sources. There are some respected MBW/MBK experts here that could clarify all for you - where are you Highoey????
1680
Reg said that he doesn't know if the MBK he can get is the MBW.
alligoat
Like Zeleni says, MBK is the mall in Bangkok and thru the years MBW and MBK have come to mean the same thing. but MBK (or MBW) watches are changing, as are all reps. So an old MBW isn't the same as a newer MBK or a new MBW. That's why the old vintage MBWs are considered the best, the newer ones aren't of the same quality.
