redmill Posted June 8, 2011 Report Posted June 8, 2011 Waiting on the correct display case back and some tweaks to finish it. Thoughts? I know the hands are unusual but it's fantasy(I've got a pam hand set in my parts bin that fits the 917 if you guys hate it)

I see you have an adapter ring to take up the space between the movement and the case but I see no means of attachment. Does the ring somehow push against the dial and use the side of the case to keep it in?

It works kind of like you say, the ring has enough outward pressure and contact with the dial to keep everything in place. It's an incredibly simple system and works surprisingly well.
