I tend to divide the world into sports and dress watches. In my book sports watches have rubber or steel bands and dress watches leather straps.

The experience so far is that most sports reps can be made water proof enough to swim with them. Some even are out of the box.

A few cannot. I recently noticed that Mary specifically mentioned that an Oris she sells can't be made water proof. I also have a Cartier Pasha Chrono which cannot.

But on the plus list I have Rolexes, Breitlings, Hublot, UN, Pateks, Ebel, VC, Graham, Paul Picot, APs and Corum. In my Gym bag I keep a B+R quartz, just in case I am wearing an unsuitable one for the day's battle with water.

Kanji reads 'aniki', kind of Yakuza slang for 'brother', and is to represent my best friend :)

The first character is older brother, but the second character is no where close.
