Nanuq
Long time crusty Alaskan Vern Tejas (57 years young) has set a couple new records. This guy is to mountain climbing as an F1 car is to a go-kart track. This summer Vern completed his FIFTIETH summit of Mt. McKinley And he set a new world record for the fastest completion of the Seven Summits. 136 days. His next goal? To have 65 McKinley summits under his boots by the time he's 65 years old. http://www.adn.com/2011/07/19/1975614/tejas-50th-denali-summit-a-likely.html
redwatch
Amazing story! It just goes to show you are only as young or old as you let yourself be!

PeteM
It seems to be a common objective in last few years.... rather than just acheiving something its set to age and number of times etc.. There have been a few guys here in UK.... youngest, oldest, quickest, most times etc on highest world summits, poles or both etc You really have to tip your cap to all of them.... best of luck to this guy... if hardwork and determination was the only prerequisite this guy would already of acheived his goal !!
