if we are talking case, CG &crown?

I have a 5512 dial and hands in my drawer and need a summmer project, but I'm not in the mode for 'modding' a case.

Looking for a case with correct lugholes, decent CG and no kingsize crown. Any of the dealers that come close?

All input would be much appreciated.

Take care!

I wouldn't say this was 'the best', but it's the same watch I used for casing up my Tudor sub dial, which is etched as a 5513. :pardon:

That doesn't look bad at all Teejay. How's the overall fit and finish? Movement ring holder quality? Dial? is it interchangeable with gen parts?

Seems pretty well made so far, it's never flooded when it gets wet...

Movement ring holder quality?

Plastic

Dial?

No different to the sales picture, but I used it for re-luming practice...

is it interchangeable with gen parts?

No idea whatsoever... :pardon:

there are none. they all have problems and will require modding. even the most expensive cases need tweaking.

DIY is the only way to go.

name a case made by whoever i can tell you the faults with it.

Hmmmm... Thank you All for reply's.

Well I wasnt asking for the perfect clone but the best when it comes to CG, crown and lugholes.

Tx again for input.

Back when MBW offered the no date sub with the gilt dial, I bought one. I think they must be pretty rare because I haven't seen any mentioned on here. I have it and a couple of other MBWs I can part with.

If you're interested in that, email me at TJGladeRaider@aol.com

Other than the non-gen construction which makes it an absolute byotch to change crystals this case worked pretty good for the Snowflake. Nice CGs outa the box and the only thing I did to the case was enlarge the lug holes and have since changed the pearl dot...
