Just want to know about the Asian 6497 Manual HandWinding Movement, how would I know that it is "fully" winded??? I don't want to "over wind" the spring, that might cause damage to the movement??? This PAM 177 is a real beauty
Mickey Padge Posted July 28, 2011 Report Posted July 28, 2011 You will begin to feel resistance when winding, it will be obvious that you shouldn't wind the watch any more, never force it
Jkay Posted July 28, 2011 Report Posted July 28, 2011 A manual wind watch will stop you from turning any further when it's done. An automatic watch has a built-in slippage so it will never seem "fully wound"

treadmark501 Posted July 30, 2011 Author Report Posted July 30, 2011 Thanks for the advise. for the past few days I've been testing how long the "reserve power" lasts in my PAM 177 V2 with this "Asian 6497 Manual HandWinding Movement". I'm quite amazed by it. when "fully winded", it lasts around 54 hours. isn't it exceptional???
