has anybody removed "Rolex Rolex" from the rehaut

just got an Explorer II but I'd like to remove the engraving from the inside of the rehaut. Possible? Has anybody done it?

Is it actually engraved, or printed? I removed the printing on one.

There was a thread/tutorial about this, here's long/short of it:

Remove the movement, dial and crystal

Take sandpaper (starting with ~240 grain) and wrap it around a toothpick or rat-tail file start working at it

Once most of the engraving has been removed increase the sandpaper grain until the desired finish is found.

Put everything back in it's place and reapply crystal.
